Carnaval San Francisco 2008 will
culminate on Sunday, May 25th at 4 p.m. with a fiery headlining
performance by deSoL, a New Jersey-based brotherhood whose music
mixes rock hooks with Latin rhythms sung in English, Spanish and
"Spanglish.” deSoL’s vibrant and energetic live show has earned
the band praise in the New York Times, USA Today, Boston Globe,
Los Angeles Times, New York Post and Paste. deSoL has wowed
music fans at high-profile music festivals including Bonnaroo,
Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bamboozle and Langerado.
They’ve also shared the stage with R.E.M., Cypress Hill,
Arrested Development, Ozomatli, Suzanne Vega and Soulive, and
have toured nationwide with The Legendary Wailers, Dirty Dozen
Brass Band, Los Lonely Boys and Widespread Panic. In October
2006, deSol brought their upbeat music and message to the
immensely appreciative U.S. troops in the Middle East. deSoL's
self-titled CD was released nationally in the summer of 2005,
followed by a live EP, LiVE/ViVO, and their newest release, On
My Way. The performance will take place on the Macys sponsored
stage, located at 17th and Harrison.
