| The 2 mile route has few gaps at the start on 24th and some big ones toward the end of the parade on the end of the parade route. Makes for good opportunities to support the local merchants. ( Carnaval.com is not the official web site if you can believe that) |

| Bands Prize Monies are an important part of the Contingent Assistance Fund which has also given grants of $500 to $2000 to over half the groups in the parade. Three Grand Prizes will be awarded on a merit basis to those contingents that best exemplify the artistic criteria and categories of the parade. Games
